What is Skam?[]
Skam (English: Shame) is a Norwegian teen drama web series about the daily life of teenagers at the Hartvig Nissen School, in Oslo. Each season has a new main character. Content (Clips, social media posts, texts) was published in real-time on the website daily. Original Skam has 4 seasons and 43 episodes.
Format[]
At the start of a week, a clip, conversation or social media post is posted on the Skam website. New material is posted on a daily basis, with the content unified and combined into one full episode on Fridays. The main character differs from season to season, and the fictional characters have social media profiles where viewers can follow their activities.[1]

The central character is Eva Mohn. Season deals with Eva's loneliness, identity, belonging as well as relationship with her boyfriend Jonas Vasquez.
Season 2[]
The central character is Noora Amalie Sætre. Season deals with issues of eating disorders, sexual assault, feminism, focuses on Noora's relationship with William Magnusson.
Season 3[]
The central character is Isak Valtersen. Season deals with Isak's relationship with Even Bech Næsheim, issues of mental illness, sexual identity.
Season 4[]
The central character is Sana Bakkoush. Season deals with Islamic religion, forbidden love, cyberbullying, friendship.
